03 Jul The first new 750 cabin boat takes a splash
Velocity
After a long winter in the moulding shop the first of the 750 cabin boats takes to the water. The boat was commissioned by Mr Michael Oliver from Portrush as a replacement for his 30 foot wooden angling boat. The RIB experience is significantly different with his cruising speed jumping from 8 knots to 28 knots and he is enjoying every minute of it.
The 750 Cabin boat was derived from the very popular 8.4 Expedition boat and can still comfortably sit 4 to 6 persons. It is shorter and lighter and therefore more suitable for towing on the road. The boat can be fitted with any of the Yamaha Stern-drive offerings up to 315 Hp.
This is a super family RIB that can be used for long distance crusing and offers great weather protection allowing it to be used all the year around. The next 2 boats should be reday to go in the very near future, one is destined for Rathlin and the other for Campbeltown, so keep an eye afloat for what is a cracking development from the Redbay stable.
Redbay Boats would like to wish Michael and his family all the best with their new purchase.
The specification includes:
- Standard Horizon GPS/ Plotter nad DSC VHF
- Navman Depth Sounder
- Yamaha ME422 Diesel Stern-drive with Hydra-drive
