Stormforce 7.4

Background

First introduced in 1996 there are more than 150  Stormforce 7.4 boats in the fleet, it is a very versatile craft and is available in open console, wraparound with spray hood and full cabin configurations.

The Stormforce 7.4 was originally derived from the Stormforce 6.5 boat. It exhibits similar hull characteristics to the 6.5 metre boat and has  the same dead rise and chine configurations. The Stormforce 7.4 boasts an exceptionally dry and stable ride and it was the first boat in the Stormforce range to be installed with stern-drive power. Initially the Stormforce 7.4 was developed to further the cruising capabilities of the range, introducing enhanced seakeeping and range through diesel power but it was not long before it  became the boat of choice with Police, Coastguard and Rescue organisations.

Hullform

The Redbay Stormforce 7.4 is on of the most popular boats in the range. The high bow, deep– V hull and wide beam combine to make an exceptional offshore all weather RIB. This RIB is available in various configurations including outboards, diesel sterndrives, open console, wrap around or forward cabin and is widely used for cruising, with many having completed Round-Ireland trips.
