Based of our 1250 hull the 1450 has an increase beam of o.5m and length of 1.6m, this is to accommodate the large interior and engine sets. The tube from water line distance has also been increased to allow for better hydrodynamics and more efficient running. Like all of our large RIBs in our Stormforce range the 1450 features the same “Hardnose” design and downward hull chine angles. Sitting on the aft deck you will notice these features as it is a dry and safe place to sit even while running into a sea.
The wheelhouse of the 1450 has been designed so that it can be manufactured using one single mould from bow to stern, this gives it a clean and finished look. The 1450 inherits the same modern lines and sleek flush seaglaze marine windows as seen on our Stormforce 1150. The aft deck of the 1450 is the perfect social place for dining and relaxing, comfortable bench seating for up to 8 people wraps around a large folding deck table. Suitable storage lockers on the aft deck are large enough to fit all water-sports gear and equipment perfect for family fun. The large bathing platform comes fitted with dinghy davit systems for your tender and outboard storage
Inside the wheelhouse of the 1450 is bright and spacious, this is down to the almost wrap around glass windows and the two large skylights on the centre of the roof. The standard layout of the wheelhouse includes 5 suspension seats up front, a “U” shaped bench seat for 6 people with a custom oak table. Opposite the bench seating is a full 3m long galley, fully fitted with cooker, fridge, oven and running hot water. Another option for this space is a mix of bench seating and galley space. Below the main decks in the 1450 are 3 king size cabins with full standing head room and a fully fitted shower/toilet cubical
A number of engine options are available for the Stormforce 1450. The most popular option is triple Yanmar 8LV-370 with Yanmar sterndrives. The triple engine set up will push the 1450 to a maximum speed of 36 knots with a cruising speed of 22-25knots. At cruising speed the boat will be burning 140l/hr fully loaded giving the 1450 a range of 340 nautical miles.
Fitted with the lastest in Joysitck technology the 1450 can be manouvered out of any tight berth with easy using the joystick along with the powerful bow thruster
