24 Feb Kintyre Express III
This afternoon we launched the 75th Stormforce 11. Following on from a very successful season, this is the third 11m for Kintyre Express and will join in their passenger ferrying service between Ballycastle, Campbeltown, and Troon.
The addition KEIII has over the other two Kintyre Express boats is the enlarged stern platform which allows passengers to bring bicycles onboard which can now be stored on top of the engine bay lid.
The fit-out comprises of 2 x KAB air suspension seats, 12 x Scotia high back passenger seats, twin 285hp Yamaha diesel sterndrives providing a top speed of 38.5 knots during sea trials, Garmin 6012 chartplotter with Radar and AIS, and a standing toilet cubicle.
The Kintyre Express boats are available all year round. For more info on their service visit their website www.kintyreexpress.com
