21 Apr Four more boats launched!
The last week has been a very busy time in Redbay as four new boats have been launched, two new Stormforce 11’s, a new Stormforce 650, and a new Stormforce 6.1.
The first of the 11’s launched is a Wraparound canopy model for Mr Alan Wilson. This boat replaces his current 11 which he has operated successfully as a sea-safari RIB in Ballycastle for the past six years.
This boat is fully MCA coded to carry 12 passengers and 2 crew, and is fitted with twin Yamaha ME372 165hp diesel sterndrives and Garmin navigation equipment.
The second 11m launch was for Mr Derek Gordon who will base his boat in Croabh Haven on the West of Scotland. This boat will be available for charter (contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details).
‘Integrity’ is fitted with twin Yamaha ME432 285hp diesel sterndrives, top of the range Garmin touchscreen chartplotters with radar and autopilot, Toilet and shower cubicle, and full galley facities. This boat has also been MCA coded for 12 people.
The Stormforce 650 which was launched was fitted with a wraparound canopy and was to be used as a tender to a superyacht.
Fitted with a Yamaha 225hp outboard a top speed of over 45 knots was acheived during the seatrial. This 650 is also fitted with Garmin electronics, and deck mounted lifting points so that she can be lifted onboard the mothership.
The final launch this week was a Stormforce 6.1 for Mr David Breen. This RIB was fitted with a Suzuki DF175 outboard which gives it a top speed in excess of 45 knots.
