Stormforce 8.4 - Canopy

Background

Based on the Stormforce 8.4 and fitted with our innovative Wrap Around Console with Canopy. The high sided wrap around console is ideal for safe family passage or for serious offshore ribbing. Combined with the high level Lexan screen, the Console forms a very safe and comfortable cocoon. A moulded dash provides plenty of surface area for mounting all the necessary kit.

The latest generation of the 8.4 Canopy is based on our 8.4 Expedition Mouldings. The new model has a higher quality finish, and also includes the provision for a double berth in the bow with proper access through the console. This has been achieved by the adoption of the GRP hardnose, which provides total security in big seas.

Hullform

The Stormforce 8.4 is a deep V hull form, which is one of the reasons that this RIB has such fantastic abilities in rough offshore conditions. The deep V hull is combined with sprayrails to produce additional lift and improve the hydrodynamics of the hull. The tube is designed to sit firmly in contact with the water surface while at rest; this ensures that the RIB has maximum stability.

Configuration

The 8.4 Canopy can be powered by diesel Sterndrives (the earlier model can also be driven by Outboards). Internally, there is flexibility as to the type of seating: POD, High Back Comfort Seats and Air Sprung Suspension options are available.
