Mullingar Sub Aqua Club's new RIB

The last delivery of May was to Mullingar Sub Aqua Club with a Stormforce 7.4. The RIB has been built to the exact requirements of the Dive Club.

Firstly, the RIB has been fitted with a bespoke, simple but functional open console. The console is suitable for use in both standing and sitting positions.

Fitted to the front end of the bottle rack is the seat base and back. The base of the seat hinges down out of the way to allow the helmsman to stand at the console, with the back still in place for support.

The stainless steel A-Frame has also been fitted with a swivel down dive ladder, and flare boxes.

Power is from a very impressive Honda 225hp 4-stroke outboard, which gives the RIB speeds in excess of 40 knots. The Honda is also backed up with an auxilary Honda 15hp.

Fitout includes:

• Garmin GPS/Fishfinder unit
• Icom VHF DSC Radio
• Sea compass
• A-Frame mounted spot light
• 12 v sockets etc.
