Lophelia

Just launched is Lophelia, a Redbay Stormforce 11 Cabin RIB. Customer Mr Mark Woombs, of Sea Knoydart, took delivery of his new RIB, which will start operating shortly. The RIB will be used for general Passenger trips, such as cruising Scottish Islands, Wildlife spotting and commuting.

Lophelia is based on the Explorer-X Cabin Stormforce 11 model. The interior features the standard double berth in the bow. In the main Cabin, Mark went for our very popular Passenger RIB layout; 12+2 individual high back comfort seats with 4-point harnesses. Aft of the seats, the RIB is fitted with a small Galley to starboard with a Sink/Gas Hob, Microwave and Fridge. To port, a full head height toilet cubicle has been fitted with a Sea Toilet.

Propulsion is provided by twin Yamaha ME422 Diesel Sterndrives, each producing 245hp. These are coupled to Yamaha's Hydra Drive unit for ultimate reliability, performance and smooth operation. The RIB is MCA coded to Category 2.
