KINTYRE
EXPRESS - Stormforce 11

Kintyre Express
Customer,
Wilson Smyth has taken delivery of his new Redbay Stormforce 11
RIB, Kintyre Express. The RIB will be used as the backbone of the
Kintyre Express passenger
service, scheduled travel between Troon and Campbeltown, and also
for corporate Golfing trips, sea safaris and general charter purposes.
The
RIB has been MCA coded to Category 3. Along with the large complement
of safety gear, the RIB has been tested for stability and buoyancy,
under the new revised MCA coding (MCA Small Commercial Vessel Code
of Practice). The RIB passed the stability test with 15 persons
and 1000kg of cargo, and all tube compartments on one side deflated
without any problem.

Fitout,
comfort and safety levels on board the RIB are very high. The General
Arrangement of the RIB is typical of the standard fully decked full
cabin 11m. This includes full seating for 12 passengers and 2 crew
in the main cabin, with the large double berth forward and large
storage area aft. For ultimate comfort and safety, the RIB has full
back seats with 4 point safety harnesses throughout.
Propulsion
is by the favored twin Yamaha ME422 diesel sterndrives, which will
