DUBLIN
FIRE BRIGADE - Stormforce 6.5

Dublin
Fire Brigade's Stormforce 6.5
Dublin
Fire Brigade have taken delivery of their new Redbay Stormforce
6.5 RIB. Unique to this RIB is that it has to be capable of fitting
under low level bridges. With this in mind, everything on the RIB
had to be at the same height or lower than the top of the bow.
The
RIB has a single person centrally mounted console, which has been
lowered slightly to ensure that the air draft is acceptable. A low
level screen and stainless steel grab rail have also been fitted
to the console. There are two removable pod seats that fit in behind
the main console, to give the typical "delta" configuration
of seating.

The
RIB has a single stern mounted stainless steel A-Frame. The frame
has been designed to allow it to quickly fold flat unto the deck
of the RIB again to reduce the air draft.
Propulsion
is provided by twin Yamaha 60hp four strokes, with independent electric
and fuel systems.
